LaVision is always continuing the development of customer designed (Laser) Imaging Systems for reactive and non-reactive flow field analysis, fluid mechanics and non-destructive material testing.
In addition, new and innovative optical sensors for in-cylinder gas analysis, soot monitoring and leakage detection of pharmaceutical vials are offered.

Current open positions:

PhD Candidate (m/f)

Topic: Development and improvement of measurement techniques relating to particle image velocimetry (PIV), 3D-particle tracking velocimetry (3D-PTV) and LIF-techniques on micro-scales. Applied research on flow and temperature phenomena.
This position is part of a European Marie-Curie program promoting interdisciplinary research and education with a special focus on training in close collaboration between universities and industrial partners. There will be opportunities for summer schools in many different fields relating to surface physics and fluid mechanics.
The candidate will be based at LaVision GmbH in Göttingen, Germany, with extensive stays at TU-Delft in the group of Prof. Westerweel, a world leading expert on fluid dynamics. The degree will be finally awarded from TU-Delft, which is among the top technical universities in Europe. 
Duration: 3 years starting around 1-2009
Requirements: The candidate must not be German. The research program will require a willingness to travel to other research institutions of partners in the EU. English is mandatory. Learning German or Dutch is recommended for social interactions.

Sales representative (m/f): sales engineer

Your profile: you have many years of experience in sales and distribution of consultation-intensive investment goods, you feel safe with closing deals and you are ready to travel abroad. You have a technical or scientific degree as engineer or physicist, you act customer-orientated,  determinedly and with the ability to work in a team.
Good command of English language is a precondition.
